The Assessors Reports on Applications for the 2009 Discovery Project round have opened on GAMS and close 14 July. ARC Rejoinder Process Instructions are on the website:

UNSW Rejoinder Submission Process
The ARC requires the Rejoinder to be submitted by UNSW through the Grants Management Office (GMO) by 6 pm Monday 14 July, the start of World Youth Day activities, when many UNSW staff will be on leave. Consequently there will be limited access to UNSW staff including the GMO. Assistance on Monday 14 July with any queries on your Rejoinder will be limited. It would be appreciated if you could complete your Rejoinder and locally submit it on GAMS by no later than Thursday 10 July 12 noon.
GMO staff will:
GMO staff will be able to provide advice on rules and eligibility and check the compliance of your Rejoinder.
Research Strategy Office (RSO) staff will provide advice and support regarding the content of the rejoinder, including how to respond to specific issues raised by assessors.
How do I know that my rejoinder has been successfully submitted on GAMS?
Your GAMS screen for your DP application will show:
If your Rejoinder is less than 5000 characters, then your screen will display the following:
To office submit, click on the local submit button.
If your GAMS screen shows only the following two options, then you have most likely exceeded the character limit and your rejoinder cannot be submitted:
Please edit your rejoinder to reduce it to less than 5000 characters. Note: Microsoft Word will not count all spaces and code. The Microsoft Word count target is 4900 characters with spaces.

Strategic Support from RSO
The RSO will provide one-to-one assistance and strategic advice to as many applicants who request assistance in preparing their rejoinders (please see attached). This assistance will include:

a) One-to-one interviews
Contact Lorraine Pavitt on ext 55600 (or email l.pavitt@unsw.edu.au) by Tuesday 24 June, to arrange an interview appointments. UNSW@ADFA applicants who would like interview support, please email Lee Williamson.
b) Email assistance
Email Lee Williamson your draft Rejoinder and include the DP number in the subject heading, by no later than 12 noon Wednesday 9 July (email: lee.williamson@unsw.edu.au). She will then co-ordinate your support from the RSO staff and advise details by return email.
c) Ex-College of Experts (ex-CoE) Assistance
In addition to the advice available from the RSO, the following ex-CoE members in faculties have generously offered their time to provide direct feedback to a limited number of researchers in their area of expertise:
In the first instance, please email the appropriate person by no later than 5 pm Friday 4 July including the Assessors' reports (copy and paste text from each report on GAMS into a single word or text file is generally easiest, or the printed reports can be scanned) and your draft Rejoinder. If the ex-CoE member has received too many requests for advice and is therefore unable to assist, you will be redirected to Lee Williamson in the RSO, who will co-ordinate your support from the RSO staff:
